"MAXIMIZE your chances to land your ideal
job, especially in this ECONOMY”

After you've applied to a job online, do you feel like your resume floats around, lost in cyber sea of millions of other resumes?

Day after day you apply to jobs, which blend into months. Before you know it, six months pass and, you’ve applied to 400 jobs easily, with a zero response rate. Now, you just have to wait and hope that you get a call back from an employer out of the millions of people who’ve also applied to similar jobs. I would hate to work with such odds, wouldn’t you?

Doing the same thing every day and expecting different results is insanity.

I’ve written a comprehensive yet easy to digest guide on how to conduct the kind of job search where you will see the most impact and return on investment on the precious time, energy and efforts you've expended.  I will share with you how to create and sustain a systematic job search from begining to end.

Maximize Your Chances to Land Your Ideal Job

My book is created from the best of four worlds.

·         Key information from my top-rated business school.

·         Personal experience and success in landing my ideal jobs, connecting with all levels of management in my desired places-to-work.

·         Experience helping my peers of all backgrounds and educational levels with their search.

·         Countless hours researching the web to find what else exists.

Author, "Maximize your chances to land your ideal job... especially in this economy"

Dear Reader,

My goal is to save you mindless-browsing on the internet, so you can save that precious time conducting real job search.

I reveal to you, a new approach to the mundane, repetitive, and thankless job of job-search.  My book hosts a vault of information on how to conduct your most effective, most impactful job search, including:

·         Working the exponentially growing yet saturated market of the internet!
A Top 10 networking sites online and how to best use them. You don’t have to be tech-savvy to be successful on any of these sites! This is essential so you don’t waste countless hours online in an unfocused job search.

·         A three-chapter guide to crafting the kind of resume that honestly and effectively sells your skills.  One hard rule, no exceptions: To sustain success, you must sincerely market your real, authentic, unique self.   Anything else will end in failure.  I promise.

o    Do you know that people make the same seven common resume mistakes which instantly bee-lines their resumes to the cyber trash can?  I talk about these mistakes in my comprehensive three chapter resume guide.

·         Techniques that go far beyond uploading your resume on a job site, to actually receiving a response from the Hiring Manager

·         Learn how to reach and effectively communicate with the correct Hiring Manager for your job even if you don’t know anyonein that company--  even if that company is a giant monolith with layers of bureaucracy.

·         Make a solid, lasting connection with the company of your choice even if your mother/uncle/cousin-twice-removed does not work at that company.

·         Be Recruiter-Savvy.  How they can (and cannot) help you-and should you pay for them?

Grow your network fluidly and systematically.

·         Do you want to grow your network and make the best use of your existing network? (Which, nine times out of ten, is a lot bigger than you think!)

·         Have you experienced family, friends, and peers edging away from you when you  ask  “I’m job hunting.  Can you help me find a job?”

In my book, I’ve written for you, a speech with carefully worded questions, which will get you much farther than simply stating your issue.   Especially in this economy, you have be creative and careful in what you say because  any person you ask for help- probably has three times as many people asking for their help.

What do I know about all of this?

I attended a top five undergraduate business school.  I was taught by some of the best teachers in the nation on networking, resume writing, and job search etiquette.  I’m sharing these insights with you because they will work for everyone who markets their best, authentic self.

I also completed a second major in English.  It’s very cool to use both my English and Business background to write this book.

However, even my high caliber business school did not teach what I found to be the most effective ‘tricks and techniques’ to being on the right person’s radar.

The reason I consider them to be the best, is that, I have almost always received a call back from a potential employer-who otherwise does not know me from Suzie Q.

Still, I’m not making 100% type of assurances for you, because I don’t believe in gimmicks and empty promises.  Notice my title is Maximize Your Chances to Land an Ideal Job versus “Land that Job, Guaranteed!”

I believe in managing expectations and being professional—and since I’ve experienced real success in making real connections with employers—and growing my network exponentially:

I want to share with you, what worked for me and for several others, and what does not work (for anyone)!

You need a guide that’s relevant and current to this economy—because now, more than ever, you need conduct the most systematic, smartest job hunt—and following conventional wisdom to job search just does not cut it in this economy.

You will find me referring to ‘this economy,’ and I do so with regularity because, my advice caters to this very tough market. Anything less just will not cut it.

The most important process in successful marketing is turning a product attribute into a benefit for the target consumer.  I’m transitioning my success in marketing products, to help market people—to help empower you.

Why did I do this?

I myself navigated a career transition, a Herculean task in this economy. (Yes, interesting timing, I know! )   I know that searching for a job, day after day, and meeting with the same flat lack-of-response chips at your self confidence.

The worst thing to erode is your sense of self and sense of confidence—because a potential employer can pick up on this, and it can repel them.

For example, it’s the difference between a high pressure salesman who makes you feel bad for not making a sale, versus someone who tells you why a product is good for you, and then lets you feel free to make your own decision.   You have to be the latter.  And it’s very hard to exude this confidence when your livelihood is at stake.   The sooner you can put forth a productive job search, the better and more accomplished you will start to feel.

Here are just a few of the topics this book covers,

·         Empower Yourself - Strength in Numbers in a Tanking Economy

·         The Top Ten Job/Networking Sites online and How To Make them Work for You

Your three part package deal rocks!!! The main book functions as an outline/tracker for my job search. I refer to it daily. Your white paper on how to answer those tough yet common interview questions, is making me rethink and restructure my answers. I haven't started reading your bonus guide on the initial six-month job success. If the previous two are any indication, I'm sure it will be great.

- Laura Cline

I just bought this ebook and I started reading. I now realize how the new generation is coming along , and job search is no more looking for job postings online and newspapers. I'm not only competing with my generation but my son's generation, who by the way, has just turned 21. Thank you for your notes on how to use the top 10 websites, which has given me more confidence in submitting my resumes online. I wish you the best but I have one request, if you could post more examples of cover letter letters, in your ebook. Thank you

- Chet Eppstein

I thought I was doing everything to get a job, until I read your e-book. Do you really do all of the things you mention to get a job? What an incredible amount of work for a job, but it all makes sense to me. I can't imagine NOT getting a job if I did all of that work.

- Maddie Stamatiou

I'm glad I bought your book. The two most helpful sections to me were the resume before & after edits, and being web 2.0 savvy. There are LOTS of books like yours out there but none as compact as yours.

- Corey Hagen

A great compilation of info for anyone who doesn't have the time to shlep through eight different books or two hundred pages. For people like me, who don't want to read heavy material but still want the benefits, this is a good guide.

- Shivani Kumar

This book is filled with witticisms. I often found myself laughing out loud at what you said. I usually dread reading these types of books. I regard them as a necessary evil because they are written with such dryness. Your book is a welcome deviation from the norm.

- Chrissy Preston

I found your guide super duper helpful. Too bad you can't give it away for free or reduced price--it needs to reach alot more people. I'll tell my friends about it.

- Sidney Langford

I bought this book for my mom, because she recently got laid off from her job as a customer service manager. I don't think she's touched her resume in years or really knows how to network in this tech savvy era. She's thanked me a dozen times already. On a serious note, you are doing a really good thing here by helping people out at an affordable price. God bless.

- Melinda Kramer

I graduated out of college at the worst time. I feel that most of the information in your book is intuitive, but rarely practiced. Its nice to see all of this information in one place, and I'm happy to tell you that I've recieved an internship offer. Thank you and keep up the good work.

- Regina Wilson

When I read who you dedicated your book to, I broke down and bawled like a baby on the subway. You are one tough, smart lady to turn your personal tragedy into a professional cause to help us without bankrupting us.

- Eva Luis

Your dedication is powerful and it touched me deeply. God bless your family. Factually, your book does everything you say it will on your website. You've also written from your heart. Your book is filled with humanity.

- Margie Bowden

There are worse ways to spend $9.99, I should know. I'm not raving about it, but I'm glad I read it. Oh, but I'm amazed at how specific and detailed you are in helping us out without making this an overly lengthy book.

- Michael Phillips-Bender

I was skeptical when I bought this book because after being in the industry for past 20 years, working in six different jobs, I never felt the need to go through a book much less an e-book to tell me how to find a job. Until recently I always contended with multiple job offers but given that for the past four months, I've been trying hard to get a job- something inside of me clicked when I read the statement about six months passed by without getting a job...so I skeptically bought this book. I still don't have a job, but I've been getting more interview calls. Thanks and I will keep you posted on my progress.

- Ross Crowley

Written with genuine empathy and killer knowledge- a rare acheivement in this kind of book.

- Kris Arundale

A million thanks for this book! It opened my eyes to how my current way of 'job search' and I now use this term loosely, wastes my time. I know have a tremendously impactful plan of attack, and you make good on your promise to 'empower' us in our job search.
